‘Cullinan Dream’, Blue Diamond Worth $25.4 Million

“Cullinan Dream” is the world’s largest “intensive blue” diamond; it weighs 24.18 carats, and is worth $25.4 million.

The Cullinan diamond” forms the largest part of the rough diamond, which weighs 122.52 carats. It was found in Cullinan mine, South Africa, in June 2014.

The Diamond was later sold for $23.5 million, and was cut into four diamonds of different sizes, and “Cullinan Dream” is the biggest diamond among them.

The Cullinan mine produced two of the most famous diamonds, including the Cullinan diamond, the largest one in history, which is set in the crown of Queen Elizabeth and featured in a notable building located in London. The Cullinan mine is the world’s largest source of extremely rare blue diamonds.

Although blue diamonds are rare, more than one blue diamond has been displayed in recent years. The famous billionaire “Joseph Low” in Hong Kong, in an auction of Sotheby’s, spent $48 million on “Blue Moon of Josephine” diamond which weighs 12.03 carats.

While “Oppenheimer Blue” Diamond worth $58.2 million, weighing 14.62 carats, was auctioned at Christie’s, making a record.
