Crystal Palace have confirmed the appointment of French manager Pierre Sage as the club's new head coach on a three-year contract, subject to the completion of visa formalities.

Sage arrives at Selhurst Park following an impressive campaign in France, where he was named Ligue 1 Coach of the Year and guided his side to French Cup success.

He replaces Oliver Glasner, who departed the Premier League club after a successful spell in charge.

Speaking after his appointment, Sage expressed his excitement about joining Crystal Palace and praised the progress the club has made in recent seasons.

"It is fantastic to be here at Crystal Palace," Sage said.

"I am excited by the club's history and what has been achieved in recent years. Oliver Glasner did an incredible job and now it is my responsibility to continue building on those foundations. We arrive with great ambition."

The Frenchman highlighted the positive atmosphere surrounding the club and stressed his desire to maintain a winning culture.

"The environment here is very positive and we share that mentality. We won a title last season and we want to continue that success in a new club and a new project while keeping the winning habits that have already been established," he added.

Sage also addressed the club's supporters, emphasizing the importance of the connection between the team and its fanbase.

"In England, supporting a club is something that lasts a lifetime. We want to give the fans what they deserve. We want to make them proud of the team and the club, and we will do everything possible to bring smiles to their faces."

Crystal Palace will now look to begin a new chapter under Sage as the club aims to build on recent progress and compete strongly in the Premier League during the coming seasons.
