Cristiano Ronaldo to Receive Special UEFA Award at 2024/2025 CL Draw Ceremony

Football legend Cristiano Ronaldo will receive a special UEFA award as a tribute and homage to his legacy and history in the UEFA Champions League competitions, include being the leading goalscorer of the prestigious club tournament. 

The five-time winner of the competition will receive the award during the draw for this season’s tournament on Thursday 29 August in Monaco.

Ronaldo made 140 appearances in 183 Champions League matches for Sporting Lisbon, Manchester United, Real Madrid and Juventus across 18 seasons.

UEFA President Aleksander Ceferin said: “Cristiano Ronaldo is one of the brightest stars in the UEFA Champions League constellation." 

“His sustained excellence at the highest level is a testament to his relentless pursuit of both team and individual honours.

“Over more than two decades, he has continuously evolved and refined his game while preserving a youthful passion for scoring and celebrating goals.”

Ronaldo won his first champions league title in 2008 with Manchester United, before joining Real Madrid in 2009. 

He added four more Champions League titles during run with the La Liga giants.
