Cristiano Ronaldo almost thought he scored the deciding goal from the last kick of the game but, his goal was denied despite the fact that the ball crossed the goal line.
Portugal were denied a clear goal and Ronaldo in particular was furious with the referees, as he angrily stormed off the field after the whistle, throwing away his captain’s armband.
The football star was not at his best form, yet, Portugal entered the second half by a deserved lead, until Ronaldo’s last-minute magnificent winner was denied under controversial circumstances.
Portugal’s second match in 2022 World Cup Qualifiers ended in a 2-2 draw with Serbia, with Cristiano Ronaldo failing to score again.
Fernando Santos’ team sought to build on their 1-0 win over Azerbaijan with another positive result, yet, Serbia led an impressive second-half battle to earn a well-deserved point.
