On Sunday, the US Department of Health announced reporting first two cases of the new COVID-19 strain, which was first detected in the United Kingdom (UK) last December.

At least 195 cases of new Coronavirus strain have been recorded in 22 U.S. states, according to data issued by the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

On December 14, the UK Minister of Health Matt Hancock announced that researchers had discovered a new strain of coronavirus, which could be the reason behind the rapid spread of “Covid-19” infection in southeast Britain.

He added that the initial analysis indicates that the new strain is spreading very quickly, and its ability to infect may increase the capacity of previous infectious strains by 70%.
