The United Kingdom's death toll from Coronavirus (COVID-19) has risen by 403 to 4,897, according to the National Health Service (NHS).

The NHS added that 15 of the 403 patients had never suffered from any disease before.

Moments ago, it was reported that UK’s Prime Minister Borris Johnson was put on oxygen as his health deteriorated. He was transferred yesterday to the hospital after he contracted coronavirus.

The PM spent the night at St Thomas’ Hospital in central London, ten days after testing positive for the virus, according to Metro webiste.

Worldwide, there are now more than a million confirmed cases and 58,955 Covid-19-related deaths, according to the Johns Hopkins University Center for Systems Science and Engineering.

Last Friday, UK’s Prime Minister Boris Johnson tested positive for coronavirus, as the outbreak spreads across the country.

Johnson confirmed the news in a video posted on Twitter, saying: “Over the last 24 hours I have developed mild symptoms and tested positive for coronavirus.”

He continued: “I am now self-isolating, but I will continue to lead the government’s response via video-conference as we fight this virus. Together we will beat this. #StayHomeSaveLives”.

It is worth mentioning that, The World Health Organization (WHO) declared coronavirus a global pandemic as the new virus has rapidly spread to more than 121,000 people from Asia to the Middle East, Europe, and the United States.

People across the globe partake in self-isolation for 14 days as an effective precautionary measure to protect those around them and themselves from contracting COVID-19.
