Covid-19… Health Ministry warns: situation could get worse

Dr. Noha Assem, the advisor to the Minister of Health, warned of the possible increase in Coronavirus cases in the coming weeks due to non-compliance with the precautionary measures.

In a statement to Ala Masoleyaty talk show broadcast on Sada ElBalad satellite channel, Assem  said: "The situation will get worse if the citizens didn’t adhere to the precautionary measures during the month of Ramadan, and the increase in the number of cases will appear within two weeks of Ramadan."

She added that the Minister of Health directed to increase the number of hospitals that include departments to receive Coronavirus patients.

The advisor to the Minister of Health pointed out to the importance of the role of citizens in adhering to the precautionary measures, noting that nearly 400 thousand doses of Coronavirus vaccine have been used so far.
