Egypt authorized on Sunday, Pfizer's COVID-19 vaccine for children aged 12 to 15, the Cabinet said in a statement.
This came after Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly's meeting with the medical group assigned to confront the spread of the Coronavirus.
It is worth mentioning that, Health Affairs Presidential Advisor Mohamed Awad Tag El-Din revealed students aged 12 to 15 years will be given the “Pfizer” COVID-19 vaccine because it has been fully accredited internationally.
In a press conference, Tag El-Din added that the Pfizer vaccine has been approved for pregnant and lactating women, noting that it gives immunity for the pregnant woman and the newborn for a period of 6 months.
