More than 1.37 billion doses of COVID-19 vaccines had been administered in China by Sunday, according to 'Xinhua' News agency.

China has accelerated free Coronavirus vaccinations for all since late March 2021, according to daily updates by the National Health Commission (NHC).

It is expected that at least 70% of the target population in China will be vaccinated by the end of this year, according to Zheng Yixin, deputy head of the National Health Commission.

“The large-scale vaccination campaign conducted throughout China showed that Chinese coronavirus vaccines are safe, and the incidence rates of common side effects and abnormal reactions caused by Chinese vaccines were lower than the average numbers reported,” he added.
