More than 1600 persons will take part in the 8th NYC, most notably members of the Presidential Leadership Program (PLP), young politicians, young entrepreneurs, doctors and engineers.

The 1st NYC was held in Cairo in December, 2016.

National Youth Conference

Since his assumption of office, Sisi has realized that young people are the key pillar of the Egyptian state and its path towards development and progress. Hence, he is always keen to support them in all possible ways and forms.

It’s noteworthy that all the editions of the NYC resulted in significant outcomes and recommendations.

The most important recommendations are as follow:

  • Forming a committee to examine cases of young detainees. Hundreds of them received presidential pardons as a result.
  • Forming the African Arab Youth Gathering
  • Establishment of the National Academy for rehabilitation and Training of Youth

The sixth National youth Conference was held on July 28, 2018 at Cairo University, and was attended by up to 3,000 young people. The theme was human development and education reforms.
