Coronavirus: Lebanon's Death Toll Reaches 12

Lebanon's Ministry of Health recorded a new coronavirus death for a 50-year-old woman, raising the death toll in the country to 12.

In a statement, the Ministry said that the country has recorded a new 17 coronavirus detected cases, bringing the total number of diagnosed cases to 463.

It urged all the citizens to implement all the preventive measures and to stick to the lockdown.

It is worth mentioning that Saudi Arabia’s Health Ministry confirmed on Tuesday that the coronavirus cases in the country surpassed 1,500

“Up to 110 new coronavirus cases have been confirmed and this upped the total number of the confirmed cases to 1453,” the ministry said in a statement.

More than 800,000 persons around the world have been infected by the virus, which claimed the lives of more than 39,000 worldwide. It also hit a number of top political figures around the world.

On Friday, UK’s Prime Minister Boris Johnson has tested positive for coronavirus, as the outbreak spreads across the country.

Johnson confirmed the news in a video posted on Twitter, saying: “Over the last 24 hours I have developed mild symptoms and tested positive for coronavirus.”

He continued: “I am now self-isolating, but I will continue to lead the government’s response via video-conference as we fight this virus. Together we will beat this. #StayHomeSaveLives”

The announcement comes days after Prince Charles was confirmed to be infected with the coronavirus.
