The number of confirmed Coronavirus (COVID-19) cases in Germany has risen to 175210 on Tuesday including 8007 deaths, according to the Robert Koch Institute (RKI) for infectious diseases.
RKI added that the number of cases rose by 513 , compared with the previous day, and the death toll climbed by 72.
Germany has decided to reopen all schools and shops after weeks of shutdown imposed to curb the spread of the emerging coronavirus, according to a draft agreement seen by AFP.
“Gradually, schools should make possible education of all pupils while implementing appropriate hygiene measures and upholding distancing rules,” the document read.
Regarding shops, requirements “for hygiene, managing entry, and avoiding queues forming” would be imposed.
It is worth mentioning that, the World Health Organization (WHO) declared coronavirus a global pandemic as the new virus has rapidly spread to more than 121,000 people from Asia to the Middle East, Europe, and the United States.
People across the globe partake in self-isolation as an effective precautionary measure to protect those around them and themselves from contracting COVID-19.
Transmission of virus between humans happens when someone comes into contact with an infected person’s secretions, such as droplets in a cough.
It can also be transmitted by coming into contact with something an infected person has touched and then touching your mouth, nose, or eyes.
