Coronavirus cases worldwide surpass 137.4 mln

Johns Hopkins University announced on Wednesday that 137456881 people were infected with Coronavirus worldwide, while number of deaths has risen to 2959547.

The COVID-19 cases have been recorded in more than 210 countries and regions since the outbreak in December 2019.

Earlier, the White House coronavirus task force has warned local authorities of a new strain of the virus that was identified in the United States, amid concerns that the mutation of the virus will impede the work of new vaccines and President Joe Biden’s plans to combat the pandemic
