Major League Soccer side Columbus Crew officially unveiled Palestinian forward Wissam Abu Ali, formerly Al Ahly player.
According to club sources, the Columbus Crew informed Al Ahly that the first installment of the transfer fee would be processed on Monday, marking the resolution of the administrative issues that had delayed the move.
In recent days, the two clubs, along with the player, held intensive talks that led to an agreement for Columbus to transfer the opening payment today.
The move comes after Abu Ali’s work permit was secured, allowing him to travel to the United States and join training with his new teammates.
The full transfer is valued at $7.5 million, to be paid across three installments: $3 million upon completion of the move, followed by $4 million spread over two further payments.
