Colombia secured top spot in Group K after playing out a goalless draw against Portugal in the final round of the 2026 FIFA World Cup group stage on Sunday at Miami Stadium.

The result was enough for Colombia to finish first in the group with seven points, while Portugal advanced to the Round of 32 as runners-up with five points. DR Congo finished third on four points after defeating Uzbekistan 3-1, while Uzbekistan exited the tournament without earning a point.

Both sides produced an entertaining first half, creating several dangerous chances, but neither team was able to find the breakthrough despite an open and fast-paced contest.

The deadlock continued after the break as both defenses stood firm. Colombia thought it had snatched a dramatic stoppage-time winner when defender Davinson Sánchez found the back of the net in the first minute of added time, but the goal was ruled out for offside following the assistant referee's flag.

Portugal lined up with Diogo Costa in goal behind a defense featuring Rúben Dias, Renato Veiga, João Cancelo, and Nuno Mendes. Bruno Fernandes, Rúben Neves, and Vitinha anchored the midfield, while Cristiano Ronaldo led the attack alongside João Félix and Pedro Neto.

Colombia started with Camilo Vargas in goal, supported by Santiago Arias, Dávinson Sánchez, Jhon Lucumí, Carlos Puerta, and Kevin Machado. Jefferson Lerma, James Rodríguez, and Jhon Arias controlled the midfield, with Luis Díaz and Jhon Córdoba spearheading the attack.

With the draw, both Colombia and Portugal booked their places in the knockout stage, where they will look to continue their World Cup campaigns.
