Colombian media reported that a child dies of his injuries and 12 other people were injured as a result of an explosion near a police station in a province south of Bogotá.
The local newspaper "EI Tiempo" indicated that a child died as a result of his injuries in the explosion in the hospital.
The office of the Ombudsman for Human Rights in Bogota said that a total of 12 people were injured in the accident.
"We regret the death of a 12-year-old boy in hospital and express our solidarity with his parents and loved ones. According to preliminary data, there are currently 7 adults and 5 minors injured," he added.

Local sources indicated that the explosion damaged the windows of more than 60 houses, while the security authorities described the incident as a "terrorist act", and announced a reward of 300 million Colombian pesos (about 80,000 dollars) for information about the whereabouts of those responsible for the attack.
