Catalina Usme put the South Americans ahead after scoring the first goal from the penalty spot, before teenager Linda Caicedo scored the second for the Latin Americans to be the first-ever teenager to score at the tournament.
For South Korea, the team's Casey Phair became the youngest-ever player at a Women's World Cup.
Phair was 16 years and 26 days, and she joined the game in 77:00.
The Asian nation, now, lost all their four opening matches at the tournament and they will face Morocco on 30 July.
