Cole Palmer has dismissed speculation linking him with a move to Manchester United, insisting he has “no plans” to leave Chelsea FC.
The England international, who came through the academy of Manchester City, has been linked with a potential return to Manchester amid a mixed season at Stamford Bridge. However, Palmer made clear he remains fully committed to Chelsea.
“Everyone just talks,” Palmer said when addressing the rumors. “When I see it, I just laugh. I’ve got no plans to move from Chelsea.”
He added that while Manchester is his home and his family still lives there, he does not feel the need to return at this stage of his career.
Palmer emphasized that Chelsea still have major objectives to achieve this season, including an FA Cup semi-final and a push for Premier League qualification.
Chelsea head coach Liam Rosenior also confirmed the player’s happiness at the club, describing him as a key part of the team’s long-term plans.
“He’s very happy here,” Rosenior said. “He’s a huge part of our future.”
Palmer has scored 10 goals in all competitions this season, a drop from his 18 goals last campaign and 27 in his breakthrough 2023–24 season. Despite the dip in numbers, he remains an important figure in Chelsea’s squad.
The 23-year-old also highlighted the club’s internal stability and trust from ownership as key reasons for his commitment, referencing conversations with club leadership and captain Reece James about the team’s long-term direction.
