Cold Snap Continues to Hit Egypt on Monday, Cairo 16°C

The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) predicts cold weather to prevail in Cairo, Lower Egypt, North Coast, and North Upper Egypt during Monday's daylight hours.

Moderate weather is also expected to hit South Sinai and South Upper Egypt.

Winds occasionally occur across the country.

Light rainfall will prevail in the North Lower Egypt. Light to medium rain is predicted to hit Northeast Coast and Central Sinai.

Furthermore, maritime navigation is also expected to be disrupted in the Red Sea and the  with winds averaging 50 to 70 km/h and waves ranging between 2.5:4 meters.

Furthermore, the Mediterranean Sea will experience moderate waves, ranging between 1.5 meters and 2 meters in height with northwest surface winds.

Extremely cold weather is also expected to prevail in Egypt at nighttime.

The predicted temperatures for the following cities are 16°C in Cairo, 16°C in Alexandria, 14°C in Marsa Matruh, 19°C in Sohag, 21°C in Qena, and 21°C in Aswan.
