CM Punk's AEW return is still trending after the latest reports about the new AEW weekly show, AEW Collision. The reports added, Friday, that Punk is expected to return on June 17.
According to the Wresting Observer Newsletter, Punk is scheduled to make his comeback on June 17 at the United Center, Chicago, Punk's hometown.
Wrestling Observer added: “As things stand right now, the return of C.M. Punk is scheduled for a 6/17 show at the United Center in Chicago, which being a Saturday night show, is likely the debut of the new weekly show.”
It was reported that the negotiations for the TV deal faced some obstacles two weeks ago, and they are now totally resolved.
“The decision on Punk returning was made many weeks ago, although there was a snag two weeks back that has evidently been worked out," the wrestling outlet added.
Early this week, All Elite Wrestling's (AEW) new Saturday show, which will be premiered starting in June, is expected to see a harder brand split, including the return of CM Punk to be the face of the show, Cultaholic Wrestling cited Wrestling Observer on Tuesday.
The new show is expected to be named "AEW Collision" and it would include talents who would like to start programming with Punk.
