After more than a month of silence, more details were revealed about the developments of the invistigations conducted by All Elite Wrestling (AEW) after the physical escalations between The Young Bucks, Kenny Omega, Ace Steel, and CM Punk. Physical fights erupted between the former Trios champions and the former World champion backstage after The Jacksons and Omega stormed into Punk's room and confronted him for his statements in the media conference after All Out event in Chicago.

On Friday, several reports indicated that AEW adminstration is trying to buyout the rest of Punk's contract to release him.

In the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer said that it looks doubtful that Punk will be back in the promotion.

Meltzer explained: “Those with close knowledge of the situation said they are in talks with Punk about a buy-out of the remaining years of his contract, which tells you that they are not looking to bring him back.”

PWTorch's Wade Keller reported that Punk wasn’t expected back to the AEW and a contract buyout was likely.

Until now, no official comment from the promotion came out.

Regarding how the AEW locker room responded to the situation of Punk, Meltzer said: “The sentiment of those in AEW among most talent, not all talent, was decidedly anti-Punk, between the television promo on Page, who is overall very popular with the talent, the scrum where he said Page had never done anything in the business which was taken as saying AEW means nothing in wrestling.”

Previously, AEW released Ace Steel, Punk's best friend who was involved in the fight.

On the other hand, the future would be brighter for The Young Bucks and Kenny Omega as on Tuesday’s episode of AEW Dynamite, Tony Schiavone mentioned that Omega and Young Bucks were crowned the inaugural AEW World Trios Champions at the All Out event before Death Triangle's title match against Best Friends.

The Elite were mentioned on AEW Dynamite and a new report reveals that there has been an increase in contact between AEW and the suspended parties.

There was no mention of the faction known as The Elite when Death Triangles captured the vacated titles on September 7 or earlier this month when they defended the titles on Rampage against Dark Order.

Some people also acknowledged that CM Punk appeared for the first time in a footage on TV during AEW shows in the throughback the promotion aired before the title defence of ROH World title bewtween the Champion, Chris Jericho and Dalton Castle.

However, this scene could non mean anything more than being a highlight for the history of the title as the short video featured videos for several stars, and some of them are in the independet shows and other corporations such as Impact Wrestling and WWE.
