What Should Children Wear during Wedding and Special Occasions

Choosing an appropriate outfit for children is a very difficult thing. It is also tough to satisfy the taste of mothers and their daughters.

Fashion designer Amira Hany worked as a flight attendant since her graduation and traveled the globe until she decided to work in a field that she loves, which is designing for young girls.

Hany provided “SEENews” with helpful tips for choosing the appropriate outfit for little ones.

The designer says choosing the right wedding dresses depends on two important things: time and location.

She noted that girls can wear a dress and show their beauty from the first day that they can walk and move— because the dress’ beauty appears during movement, which differentiates them from one another.

“If it is held in a closed hall in a famous hotel, for example, then the mother can choose a long and puffy dress if she prefers, as it is the most appropriate place for this style,” Hany added.

She continued: “If it is held in a garden, then, of course, it is a different matter, as the land of the garden is it more difficult to the children than the halls, thus, the mother must choose a short and not very puffy dress, to enable the child to move easily,”.

“If it is by the sea, then, the dress must be light, and simple, with its color pleasant and light,” Hany added.

She pointed out that the mother must keep in mind the time of the wedding, whether if it is held daytime or at night.

The designer continued: “The mother must choose a simple dress in a soft color, not necessarily be a shiny gown dress in the daytime, and ought to choose a long, puffy dress at night, while of course, taking into account the place, as I mentioned previously,”.

Talking about the materials the designer relies on for her dresses, she stated: “I relying on summer comfortable materials and fabrics, such as jersey cotton, tulle, organza, silk, chiffon, linen, satin, and lycra,”

“I rely on cashmere wool, merino wool, and velvet in the winter, all imported which I often purchase during my traveling,” Hany added.

She pointed out that mothers should go for cheerful and light colors when choosing the colors for children, especially in the summer, because it looks great on the girls, which is notable in the pictures.

“Mothers must, of course, take into account the girls’ skin tone, when in choosing suitable colors,” Hany continued.

The designer also advised that little girls from 1 to 3 years old should wear skirts and blouses because they are very young, will not be able to highlight the dress, as its beauty appears in movement.

“If the mother went for the skirts and blouses, then they should choose a suitable style for the girl, in a way that suits her body and skin tone, which will be much sweeter for young age,” Hany pointedout.

She noted that that among the best places to wear jumpsuit are birthdays or small celebrations at home.

The designer advised that if mothers wish for their daughters to wear a jumpsuit, then, it is better for the child to be older, about 7-8 years old— due to the jumpsuit is difficult and, can be a bit confusing, especially for the toilet, as the child cannot rely on themselves in this topic, then, the mother will grow very tired with the child.

Hany pointed out that mothers should keep in mind when choosing special occasion clothes, to always make sure that their daughter is glamorous, beautiful, and different.

The designer noted that the child should not be dressed in a white and puffy dress like the bride just because it is a wedding; instead, she could wear a colorful chic gown dress, to enrich the culture of wearing a gown, when she grows up.

She pointed out that mothers should take in account the shape of the child’s body, meaning that if the girl is chubby, then she should not wear puffy, which will make her appear fatter, adding if the girl is slim, then she should wear a puffy dress or a skirt and stomach blouse, to highlight her body shape.
