Chinese Premier Arrives in Abu Dhabi

Chinese Premier Li Qiang arrived in Abu Dhabi for an official visit to the UAE, following an invitation from UAE Vice President and Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.

In remarks reported by the Chinese news agency, the Chinese Premier stated, "The bilateral relations between China and the UAE have maintained strong momentum since the establishment of diplomatic ties 40 years ago. The friendship between the two nations has continued to grow stronger and flourish."

He also noted that the meeting between Chinese President Xi Jinping and UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan in May set a new plan for China-UAE relations, charting the course and providing strong momentum to advance bilateral relations and cooperation.

The Chinese Premier expressed his anticipation for in-depth exchanges with UAE leaders and citizens committed to the friendship between the two countries, across various sectors, to deepen and solidify the comprehensive strategic partnership and achieve more fruitful results in exchanges and cooperation in multiple fields.

The UAE is the second and final stop in Premier Li’s four-day Middle East tour, which began in Saudi Arabia on Tuesday. He co-chaired the fourth meeting of the high-level China-Saudi Joint Committee in Riyadh and conducted an official visit to the country.
