China's Expansionist Strategy in the  World

opinion .

Serious international analyses indicate that China was able to understand globalization and adopt it in smart and successful manners.

China is not a state with a preaching approach that seeks to export its historic model as Western states, like the United States of America (USA) and France seek to export the Western model, claiming that any success couldn't be achieved without adopting not only their ideological, societal and cultural models but also their economic and political models.

China when its territorial integrity and sovereign interests are still sound, builds its foreign policies on non-intervention doctrine, working calmly, and not arising problems. China sets the foundation for a rule that says that any economic success achieved by a state doesn’t mean failure of the "other" or enforcing it to fail within the  frame of the duality of friend-enemy but with a frame of " win-win."

A recent study published by US Foreign Policy" Magazine shed the light on the rivalry between the USA and China to attain hegemony in the world.

The US magazine said that Beijing's policies that are based on economic relations with the other countries have the ability to over last US policies that are built on military alliances.

It seems to me that military alliances and economic relations are two the factors in a balanced equation for the superpowers. Those factors will be the most important determines of the coming period and they will distinguish inter-state relations in the new world system.

Compare, with me, transactions beat be Russia and India weeks ago which challenge the US strategy to face the expansion of Russia and China in the Middle East and beyond that region.

Moscow and New Delhi sealed a package of defense and economic treaties that include a transaction that enables    "Rosneft",   a Russian state-owned oil company to export about 15 million barrels of crude petroleum to India by 2022.

Also, India will represent the largest portion of the growth of demand for energy throughout the two coming decades. The visit that was paid by Russia's President to India contradicts US expectations for its strategy against both  Russia and China.

What is important in that example is that neither the USA, China, nor Russia takes a pioneering role in the world system without economic or military alliance at the same time in contrast to what was reported by the US magazine mentioned above.

For years, China has constructed the new Silk Road. The first adventure with the Silk Road had started with Marco Polo some centuries ago. For the time being, the new Silk Road became a huge investment in infrastructure and a major policy of the Chinese state.

Chinese President succeeded in convincing numerous countries of the world states with the modern edition of that trade and economic corridor. The Chinese giant changes the world economic map at all levels from world governance to trade rules along with reverence to environment and investment processes by employing intensive investment all over the world.

Beijing's ambitious project includes an overland section that comprises constructing and financing railroads between China and Europe and a marine section that includes investing in dozens of ports across the world to facilitate the Chinese trade.

In Africa, for example, China doesn't construct roads only but forms friendships and military alliances. China depends thereon on investment in building human and societal capital. A study made by US "McKenzie" Agency indicated that more than 1000 Chinese companies are working now in Africa.

But some sources talk about 2500 Chinese companies, 90% of them, are private companies, that are working in Africa now. Strategic observers do not disregard the Chinese military existence in Africa. China had sent two barges to the Horn of Africa, definitely, to Djibouti where China runs a military and logistics base there.

More than 400 Chinese servicemen are stationed in that base to secure routes of trade in the Horn of Africa and the Gulf of Eden.

Finally:

The Chinese state was able to understand globalization and adopt its rules in a smart and successful manner.

China tells any country dealing with, that any economic success achieved by any country doesn't mean failure of the "other" or enforcing it to fail in the frame of the duality of "friend-foe" but in the frame of "win-win".

That is the secret of China's success nowadays as she starts to provide it with military alliances. US strategists did not imagine someday the new Chinese policies which hinder the US policy to contain the Chinese expansion in the world.
