China has successfully completed construction of the world’s first floating production, storage, and offloading (FPSO) vessel, marking a significant milestone in the global offshore oil industry.
According to Xinhua News Agency, the vessel measures 333 meters in length and 60 meters in width, with a daily production capacity of 120,000 barrels of crude oil.
What sets this FPSO apart is its advanced carbon capture technology, which allows it to reduce CO₂ emissions generated during oil production and navigation.
Additionally, the vessel utilizes waste heat from power generation exhaust gases, improving energy efficiency while reducing environmental impact.
