Chinese President Xi Jinping announced on Thursday that China will provide $100 million in aid to the Palestinian people to help ease the humanitarian crisis in Gaza and support reconstruction efforts.
Xi made the announcement during a joint press conference with French President Emmanuel Macron following their meeting in Beijing.
The pledge comes as China continues to call for an immediate ceasefire and urges the international community to ensure unhindered access for humanitarian aid.
Beijing also reaffirmed its support for diplomatic efforts aimed at achieving a just and lasting peace for the Palestinian people.
