China successfully launched a new test satellite, Shiyan-28B 02, into orbit on Sunday from the Xichang Satellite Launch Center in Sichuan Province.
The satellite lifted off at 4:55 p.m. (Beijing Time) aboard a Long March-4C carrier rocket and entered its designated orbit as planned, marking another milestone in the country’s rapidly advancing space program.
According to official reports, Shiyan-28B 02 will be primarily used for space environment exploration and technology testing, contributing to China’s efforts to enhance research in space science and the development of future technologies.
This mission represents the 589th flight of the Long March carrier rocket series, underscoring China’s continued focus on expanding its satellite launch capabilities.
