Chelsea's Renato Veiga agreed to join La Liga giants Atletico Madrid, transfer market expert Fabrizio Romano reported on Tuesday.
Romano highlighted that Veiga agreed to join Atletico Madrid. There are no issues on personal terms.
The direct talks between both sides are progressing. The Blues insist on a package reaching €40m with add-ons included.
There is no doubt that Veiga is a very talented defender, however, Enzo Maresca does not view him as a starter.
Therefore, it might be best for him to exit the club, especially after his transfer valuation reached a new peak due to his performance during his run with Juventus.
He moved to the Serie A giants last season on loan where he had a successful stint.
