American singer-songwriter Charlie Puth revealed Thursday on Instagram the title and release date for his new song “Left and Right” featuring BTS vocalist Jungkook.

In the meantime, BTS will embark on solo careers, with J-hope said to be working on an album.

The band— which also includes RM, Jin, Suga, Jimin, and V—announced the break during their FESTA dinner, which is part of an annual celebration of their founding.

“I think we should spend some time apart to learn how to be one again,” said J-Hope in a video posted to social media.

“We’re each going to take some time to have fun and experience lots of things. We promise we will return someday, even more, mature than we are now,”,” Jungkook added.

Bandmember RM noted that while they achieved so much as BTS, the inpidual members still need to grow and mature as inpiduals.

“I always thought that BTS was different from other groups, but the problem with K-pop and the whole idol system is that they don’t give you time to mature. You have to keep producing music and keep doing something,” he noted.

A representative for the band has confirmed the news, adding: “To be clear, they are not on hiatus but will take time to explore some solo projects at this time and remain active in various different formats.”

BTS, also known as the Bangtan Boys, began forming in 2010 after Big Hit Entertainment founder Bang Si-hyuk recruited RM followed by Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook.

However, the band officially debuted in 2013. Since then, the artists have gone on to experience dynamite success, including two Grammy nominations, six no. 1 hits on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, and an ARMY of fans.
