Celebrating October War, Egyptian Flags Decorating Times Square

On the occasion of the 46th anniversary of October War Victory, Egyptian expatriates in the United States of America celebrated at Times Square on Sunday. 

Carrying Egyptian flag and singing the national anthem, the Egyptian expats showed their pride of the October Victory.

Moreover, they held posters of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi. They chanted mottos that reflected their faith in the current political leadership. 

Times Square is a major commercial intersection, tourist destination, entertainment center and neighborhood in the Midtown Manhattan section of New York City. 

Egyptians are celebrating the 46th anniversary of the October War Victory worldwide.

October War Celebrations Across the Nation

In addition, accessing national museums and parks is free of charge for all Egyptians across the nation. 

Accordingly, Egyptian satellite channels broadcast Al-Mammar (The Passage) Movie. 

Earlier, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Mohamed Ahmed Zaki, sent a cable of congratulations to President Sisi, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces.

“It is my pleasure to convey my warmest congratulations on the occasion of the 46th anniversary of October Victory, accomplished by October’s generation of the Armed Forces,” Zaki said in his congratulations’ message.

On Thursday, President Sisi placed wreathes of flowers on the tombs of late Egyptian presidents Gamal Abdel Nasser and Muhammad Anwar El-Sadat.

Sisi also placed another wreath of roses on the tomb of Unknown Soldier, accompanied by Zaki and Farid, as the national anthem was played.

Egypt celebrates the 46th anniversary of the Egyptian Armed Forces victory over Israeli army in 1973 War.

The Egyptian Armed forces have become a model example to be followed by in arts of wars.

The brave Egyptian soldiers sacrificed their lives for the sake of the homeland to regain their land, rights and dignity.

The October War resulted in a number of positive changes on both the Arab and Regional arenas.
