CBE: Remittances of Egyptians Abroad Rise 13% to $31.4 Bln

The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) said on Wednesday that remittances from Egyptians abroad increased by 13.2% in the fiscal year 2020/21, to touch $31.4 billion, compared to $27.8 billion year-on-year.

CBE added in a statement that remittances from Egyptian expatriates during the period from April to June 2021 increased by 29.6% to $8.1 billion, while June remittances increased by 15.5% to $2.9 billion, compared to $2.6 billion (YoY).
