Cate Blanchett Re-wears 4 Looks to 2020 Venice Film Festival

For the 77th edition of the Venice Film Festival, Cate Blanchett , the 51-year-old actress, decided to promote fashion sustainability by re-wearing some of her favorite and most cherished looks.

The 2020 Venice Film Festival jury president believes that beautiful things can come out of sustainability. Also, according to the US magazine, Blanchett will donate a few pieces to the Red Carpet Advocacy (RAD) in partnership with the designers and Stewart’s nonprofit Chic Relief to be auctioned off. And the proceeds will go to the UN Women and facing History and Ourselves.

1. Black Armani Privé Gown

On September 9th, Blanchett wore the black Giorgio Armani Privé gown with Pomellato jewelry to the “Wife of a Spy” premiere. The black plunging dress was previously worn to the premiere of “Sicario” at the 2015 Cannes Film Festival.

2. Embroidered Alexander McQueen top

On September 3rd, the Australian actress wore an Alexander McQueen embroidered top to the “Lover” premiere. She wore the reworked intricate top with a pair of wide legged black pants and a pair of Stuart Weitzman satin pumps. The embroidered top was originally worn at the 2016 British Academy Film Awards as a dress. It was paired with a black feather skirt to create the memorable look.

3. Esteban Cortazàr Gown

On September 2nd, Blanchett wore an Esteban Cortazàr shimmery midnight blue jersey gown to “The Ties” premiere. The midnight blue jersey gown was previously worn five years ago to the “Carol” premiere at the 2015 London Film Festival.

4. Acne Studios Suit

On September 7th, the Academy Award winning actress wore a black Acne Studios suit that has some beaded details along the lapel matching the strip down the side of the pants with a black plain shirt. The black suit was originally worn during the promoting of “The House with a Clock in its Walls” at the 2018 Rome Film Festival with a beaded white shirt.

With the 2020 Venice Film Festival coming to an end yesterday, Blanchett proved that beautiful things can truly come out of sustainability and she also showed her utter support to the UN Women and facing History and Ourselves.
