CAPMAS: Egypt's Exports of Food Commodities Surge by 32% in Q1

Recent data revealed that Egypt's exports of food commodities increased during the first quarter of this year by 32%, in addition to an increase in exports of agricultural commodities by more than 15%.

The data issued by the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS) monitored that Egypt's total exports of food commodities reached about $1.447 billion in the first quarter of this year, up from $1.095 billion in the corresponding period of last year 2023, an increase of about $352 million, an increase of about 32%.

The list of the most important goods exported during the mentioned period included frozen orange juice exports and the value of its exports amounted to about $30.410 million in the first three months of this year, compared to about $9.617 million in the corresponding period last year 2023, an increase of about $20.793 million.

Exports of vegetables and fruits recorded $31.890 million in the first three months of this year, compared to $24.302 million in the same period last year 2023, an increase of $7.588 million.
