Cape Verde advanced to the Round of 32 at the 2026 FIFA World Cup after playing out a goalless draw with Saudi Arabia in their final Group H match at NRG Stadium in Houston.
The result was enough to send Cape Verde through while confirming Saudi Arabia’s elimination from the tournament.
Spain topped the group with seven points, followed by Cape Verde on three, while Uruguay finished third on goal difference ahead of Saudi Arabia, with both teams ending on two points.
