Canada's Foreign Minister Mélanie Joly will head to the Middle East to discuss the developments in Gaza, the Canadian Foreign Ministry announced on Tuesday.

Joly will visit the KSA, Kuwait, and the UAE between 6 and 9, 2024.

After that, she will then visit Israel, Jerusalem, and the West Bank between March 10 and 13, 2024.

The Canadian official is set to meet with her regional counterparts, foreign officials, and stakeholders on the ongoing situation in Gaza.

She will address several issues like Canada’s engagement on efforts to facilitate the release of all hostages, and the need to increase critical humanitarian assistance to Gaza, in addition to the steps needed to help establish sustainable peace and security in the region, including the creation of a Palestinian state living.

She will also have various meetings with international humanitarian organizations to discuss the needs of the Palestinians and the work of the organizations.
