Canada secured a comfortable 2-0 victory over Uzbekistan in an international friendly match early Tuesday morning as both teams continued their preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The goals came in the second half and stoppage time, with Johnathan Osorio opening the scoring in the 57th minute before Jayden Dilson added a second goal in the 91st minute to seal the win.
The match formed part of Canada’s final preparations ahead of the tournament, which will be held in the United States, Canada, and Mexico starting June 11.
Canada will compete in Group B alongside Bosnia and Herzegovina, Qatar, and Switzerland, while Uzbekistan are set to face Portugal, the Democratic Republic of Congo, and Colombia in the competition.
