The EPL announced that the Cairo's derby between Al Ahly and Zamalek would take place on January 21st. 

The two clubs set to be clashed in matchweek 14 of the Egyptian League. 

The new season of the Egyptian League kicked off on Tuesday with three fiery encounters taking place around the day.

Aswan vs. Ittihad of Alexandria match will kickstart the competition for the 15:00 CLT, as the newly-prompted club will look to clinch their first three points in the competition, while the Alexandria-based club will seek to make a strong start to the season.

The games continue with NBE clashing against Pharco as the both clubs aim to produce a brilliant season.

Tuesday's action concluded with Al Masry, who made an outstanding deals during the summer transfer, will host Ceramica Cleopatra for the 19:00 kick-off. The fixtures will be resumed on Wednesday with Ismaily welcoming Al Ahly in an old Classico in the history of the Egyptian League. Meanwhile, Enppi welcome Pyramids, while title holders Zamalek will begin their defending campaign with a tough clash against Smouha.

Matchweek one concludes on Thursday with Arab Contractort hosting Ghazel El Mahalla, Haras El Hedoud playing against Future, while El Dakhleya will face off El Gaish.
