Cairo Opera House Celebrates Christmas Week

In celebration of Christmas week, Cairo Symphony Orchestra held a live concert at Cairo Opera House's Main Hall.

Under the direction of Italian maestro Giovanni Pompeo, the renowned Armenian soprano Tehmaini Shafir, dazzled the audience with jolly music and iconic christmas songs.

The show guaranteed to put the whole family in the holiday spirit, with such favorites as waltzes, polkas, marches and other notable songs of Christmas.

The concert program also featured some international great arias by Mozart, Léhar, Strauss, and Offenbach. 

Earlier, Cairo Opera House hosted the great masterpiece of the Russian author Tchaikovsky’s ballet “The Nutcracker”.

The show was performed by the Cairo Opera Ballet Company under the supervision of its artistic director Armenia Kamel and directed by Abdel Moneim Kamel, accompanied by the Cairo Symphony Orchestra, led by Maestro Nader Abbasy.
