Cairo News, citing Reuters, reported that Israeli troops take over the Palestinian side of the Rafah Border Crossing.
On Monday evening, Israel carried out extensive airstrikes on Rafah in southern Gaza. An Agence France-Presse correspondent reported that the strikes continued almost non-stop over the night.
This comes after Hamas announced its approval of a ceasefire proposal submitted by Egypt and Qatar.
