Egypt’s Cairo city has been named to Time Magazine’s prestigious list of World’s 100 Greatest Places 2021.
“Cairo is among the top 100 extraordinary destinations in 2021,” the American Times Magazine reported.
In the same context, the report mentioned that Beijing; Cannes, France; KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa; Arouca, Portugal; and Marrakech, Morocco are among the best places to visit during this year.
The criterion for selection to this category was based on concrete achievements, especially the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM), which is finally scheduled to open this year in Giza.
Moreover, the report added: “The Egyptian authorities were investing heavily in other mega projects designed to lure future travelers to the capital.”
The Ahl Misr Walkway is near completion along the Nile Corniche, creating a pedestrian-friendly outdoor space to check out the waterway.
The latest report drew attention to the fact that the best places to visit are: GEM and The Ahl Misr Walkway.
Notably, the report’s classification of the best global destination comes based upon their reporters’ opinions and individuals’ experiences.
It is worth mentioning that this report edition marks the third issue of Times magazine.
