Cairo Governor Inspects Itinerary of Royal Mummies

Maj. Gen. Khalid Abdel-Al, Cairo Governor, inspected the project of upgrading the efficiency of the area where itinerary takes place that the royal mummies as they set off the Egyptian Museum in Tahrir Square, downtown Cairo.

The mummies of royal member families of Ancient Egypt will take a defined route until they reach at last the Museum of Civilizations in Fustat, the first capital of Egypt in the Islamic era.

The governor instructed concerned personnel to complete quickly the upgrading of the efficiency of King Khalid Bridge, adjusting its fences, the metal curtains, unifying their shape and repainting them with a single color.

He also stressed the importance of the completion of painting all the fences along the itinerary, raising its efficiency and removing any distorting graffiti on them.

He ordered to paint the facades of the buildings overlooking the road leading to the Museum of Civilization and to complete the sidewalks and curbs, unifying the sidewalks ground level.

The local authorities in Cairo governorate were instructed to remove all the workshops of the potters located in the southern outskirts of the capital.

The sidewalks should be cleared for pedestrians only along with raising the efficiency of cleaning in the region.

During his tour, the Governor of Cairo stood to see the decoration of the walls of schools overlooking the Cornice in  Misr Al Qadeemah, south to Cairo, which is carried out by the students of the local educational directorate with the support of civil society.

Civil society groups desire to contribute to this important event where talented students participate in drawing under the supervision of art education teachers in cooperation with palaces culture Civil; meanwhile civil groups provide tools for painting, such as brushes, colors, and paints, free of charge.

Eng. Gehan Abdel Moneim, deputy governor of the southern region, and other senior local officials accompanied the governor on his tour.
