Cairo was ranked among the first 60 on the global Safe Cities Index 2021, according to the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU)report.

Egypt's capital was ranked 57 among the 60 cities, EIU reported.

Cairo is one of the safest cities in the Arab world, alongside five other Arab cities were ranked, including Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Riyadh, Kuwait City, and Casablanca.

Recently, the Safe Cities Index 2021 was published by The Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU), part of The Economist Group.

In collaboration with EIU, NEC has sponsored this report based on the fourth iteration of the index, which ranked 60 cities across 76 indicators including digital, health, infrastructure, personal and environmental security.

One of these significant indicators is the digital security sector, which has been developing with great momentum in Egypt in the past four years.

Because of these high standards, Cairo and its downtown are thus commonly regarded as "one of the safest megacities in the world"

It's worth mentioning that Cairo is well-known for its Khepial Cairo area and its streets, which have that very central essence of Great Cairo. This stunning city is considered the cradle of civilization and the place where many scholars, novelists, and economical experts grew up.

The buses and the train running by Ramsis Square and old establishments, the buildings–everything that reminds you of Cairo in it.
