The Confederation of African Football (CAF) revealed the official match ball for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
The ball, named “Itri”, reflects a unique fusion of modern performance technology and authentic Moroccan cultural heritage.
“Itri” features a striking aesthetic inspired by traditional Moroccan Zellige tilework, showcasing intricate geometric patterns symbolizing unity and the spirit of African football.
A prominent central star pays tribute to the Moroccan national flag, while symmetrical floral motifs represent the 24 participating nations.
The design also incorporates dynamic pattern flows that echo the fast rhythm and flair of African football.
The red and green color palette expresses passion, identity, pride, and national heritage.
The ball is manufactured using the latest Orbita 6 technology, ensuring precision, stability, and high-level performance consistent with major international tournaments.
The innovation combines technical excellence with cultural symbolism, celebrating both Moroccan and African football traditions.
CAF Creative Development Director Mohamed Ghoneimi stated that the ball was created to “reflect the movement, skill, and emotional intensity that defines African football, while honoring Morocco’s artistic craftsmanship.”
“Itri” will make its official debut on December 21, 2025, in the opening match of the Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2025, a tournament expected to bring together the elite national teams of the African continent.
