Mohamed Fadl, a member of the five-year committee in charge of managing the Egyptian Football Association, revealed the date for the African Super Cup to be held in Egypt.

Mohamed Fadl said, "The CAF Super will be held on the tenth of December."

The Moroccan club Nahdet Burkan, who won the Confederation Cup, is waiting for the winner of the match of the century between Zamalek and Al-Ahly next Friday, in order to face them early December in Egypt.

The annual African Super Cup game was initially scheduled to be held in Qatar between 14-16 August 2020. It was then delayed due to the Coronavirus pandemic.

The CAF had announced on Friday that Egypt will host the Super Cup game but did not set the date.

Ahly holds the record for the most African Super Cup wins with six titles, followed by fellow Cairo-based team Zamalek with four titles.
