The Confederation of the African Football (CAF) announced on Friday the stadiums, nominated to host the CAF Champions League (CL) and Confederation Cup (CC) finals.
Three stadiums were nominated for hosting the Champions League final, while only one stadium was nominated for the Confederation Cup.
"With regards to the inaugural one-match for the finals of the Total CAF Champions League 2019/20 and
Total CAF Confederation Cup 2019/20, three Member Associations have submitted bids during the 11 -
20 February 2020 timeline," CAF said in a statement.
It is worth mentioning that CAF Executive Committee decided at its meeting last June that the Interclub competitions of Champions League and Confederation finals will be played on a single game.
Champions League Stadiums are as follows:
1. Japoma Stadium, Douala, Cameroon
2. Mohammed V Sports Stadium, Casablanca, Morocco
3. Rades Olympic Stadium, Tunis, Tunisia
Confederation Cup Stadiums:
Moulay Abdellah Sports Stadium, Rabat Prince, Morocco
"A final decision is expected to be made by the CAF Emergency Committee on 12 March 2020," the statement read.
