The Confederation of African Football has officially announced the schedule for the 2027 edition of the Africa Cup of Nations, which will be jointly hosted by Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania.

The 36th edition of the tournament is set to take place from June 19 to July 18, 2027, marking the first time in the competition’s history that three nations will co-host the event.

All three host countries are located in East Africa, adding a unique regional identity to the tournament.

This edition also carries historical significance, as it will be the first Africa Cup of Nations held in East and Central Africa since the 1976 tournament hosted by Ethiopia, which was won by Morocco.

CAF has previously confirmed that the 2027 tournament will be the last to be staged in an odd-numbered year.

Starting from 2028, the competition will shift to even-numbered years and be held every four years.
