Prominent businessman Hussein Sabbour passed away at the age of 85, his son Ahmed announced on Thursday.
Ahmed broke down the news on Facebook, without giving further details.
Sabbour was an Egyptian civil engineer and architect, who graduated from Cairo University with a BSc. in Civil Engineering in 1957.
He received diplomas in Road Planning in 1958 and in Fundamental Development in 1962.
Sabbour was the head of "Engineer Hussein Sabbour Consulting Office", which is one of the first engineering consultancies firms in Egypt. The company designed and supervised the construction of large projects such as the Arkadia Commercial and Residential Complex as well as the Underground Regional line.
