“The Fortress” was written by Alan Horsnail, directed by Cullen Bressack, and developed by Emmett/Furla Film’s co-CEO Randall Emmett and Emile Hirsch.
The story revolves around a top-secret resort for retired U.S. intelligence officers. A group of criminals led by Balzary (Murray) breaches the compound, reeking revenge against Robert (Willis), forcing the retired officer and his son (Metcalfe) to save the day.
The first installments are produced by Emmett and George Furla, Luillo Ruiz, and Chad A. Verdi with Tim Sullivan, Nick D’Angelo, Caesar Richbow, and Danny Chan as exec producers. Highland Film Group is handling international sales.
More actors will join the franchise as it moves ahead. “The Fortress” release date has yet to be announced.
