Due to a pro-Palestinian demonstration, the police temporarily closed all lanes on the Brooklyn Bridge in New York, as a large group of Palestinian supporters began heading towards it. The closure affected both directions, as reported by CNN and NotifyNYC, a local government service. The gathering in support of Palestinians started near Barclays Center and concluded at the Brooklyn Bridge.

The Palestinian-led community organization called on protesters to join them, stating, "The more they try to silence us, suppress us, and remove us from the streets, the more our numbers grow, and our voices amplify."

The New York City administration confirmed that the protest was peaceful and didn't witness any incidents with the demonstrators.

This New York protest was part of several demonstrations worldwide this week, including one by a Jewish group advocating for a ceasefire in Gaza in New York, resulting in the arrest of 300 individuals.
