Member of Zamalek's board of directors Ahmed Mortada Mansour confirmed on Monday that the White Knights' first choice defender Mahmoud Hamdy El Winsh tested positive for coronavirus.
In statements to "On Sport," Ahmed Mortada said that he will be in the self-isolation after contracting the respiratory disease.
"The coronavirus swab taken from El Winsh confirmed his infection and he will be isolated from all the other players," the member of Zamalek's board of directors added.
It is worth mentioning that the Red Devils face off the White Knights in the CAF Champions League final on Friday.
El Winsh became the third player during the last two weeks to be infected with the respiratory disease after Mohamed Hassan and Hazem Emam.
Hazem Emam recovered from COVID-19 on Saturday after testing negative.
